Visitors can expect to experience a 43-acre archeological park where British soldiers, First Nations warriors, and Upper Canadian militiamen stood together against the United States in the War of 1812. They can relive moments of the battle through an immersive multimedia experience and learn about unsung heroes and the pivotal role they played in defending the city.

The site is committed to providing access to as many areas as possible, with asphalt surfaced walkways and accessible washrooms. Portable ramps are provided for doorways, and interpretive overviews are available for spaces that cannot be accessed. Service animals are welcome, and seating is available in many exhibits and outside structures.

The public is not required to wear masks, but they may choose to do so in any settings they wish and will be supported in their decision. Visitors are treated with respect and understanding, regardless of their choice to wear a mask.

Groups of 15 people or more will be charged a fee for their visits, which includes a reserved time for the group and a dedicated tour guide to ensure an enjoyable experience. For more information on group tours, fees, or to book a group visit, visitors can email the site in advance.

Visitors can browse the Toronto History Museums Calendar to find special exhibits and events happening at the site and other museum locations. An 'immersive experience' exhibit takes visitors through the steps leading up to the Battle of York, and a 480 square foot vault displays iconic artifacts. General admission is free, with some exhibitions and events carrying a separate charge where noted.
