The first eight or nine months of our new approach to bookselling—our gestation period, you might say—seems to have produced the right offspring! It’s proving to be a nice combination of time off for us and looking after your mystery needs. So that's how we'll proceed for the foreseeable future.

Basically, we are going to become more and more a second-hand mystery books bookstore. This way we’ll lighten our inventory but will be around to special order anything you might want. We’ll be open limited hours, the six days a month that you are now pretty familiar with, but maybe as winter sets in—i.e. golf season ends and Christmas approaches—we might be open a tad more. (Keep an eye on the column on the left.) We have the location, we have the books, so why not?

Below those two lists are new mystery releases, organized by month of release. These are not titles that, for the most part, are actually on order. Instead, they are listings of what’s going to published in the near future. Peruse those lists to see if your favourite authors are up to something! It's pretty intuitive. Click on any cover. "Add to cart." "Checkout Now" or hit the shopping cart symbol. It's that easy to spend money!

One very useful tip: if ever you get “lost” in the website just “hit the cat.” Touching the “cat image/Sleuth of Baker Street” logo at the top of the page will bring you back to the home page and you can begin over again.

Another tip: avoid the "Browse" link, especially on mobile devices. These can be huge files that will take time, and lots of data cap, to download. If you find yourself there, touch the cat!

Have a look at the monthly "New Releases" selections along with the "New Arrivals" and “Forthcoming” selections for suggestions. They change regulary, so visit them often. Click on a cover, yada, yada, yada.

Use the "Search for anything" box. Leave the search criterion as "keyword" and enter a few key words. For example, the keywords “Connelly innocence” would return all editions of Michael Connelly’s The Law of Innocence. Author and titles are more exacting.

A caution. There may be many editions or formats for a particular title--hardcover, paperback, audio, etc--so have a careful look before adding to your cart. There is a running total of the number of books in your cart and deleting from the cart is simple.
