For your convenience, PADI Learn to Dive programs are flexible. You can now start PADI scuba lesson taking lessons online such as PADI eLearning or study in class at our dive shop located closed to major intersection in Markham.

IN THE CLASSROOM: In the classroom, you will learn about diving safety. You will learn how to properly operate your diving gear, the physiology, and the physics behind scuba diving. Instructors will tell you how these things applies to you as a diver in gaining dive certification.

In confined water, your instructor will show you proper snorkoling and scuba diving skills, as well as safety techniques. You will become familiar with various types of scuba equipment and develop confidence with the use of scuba gear in preparation for your open water check-out dives.

In order to be certified, all students must complete: 5 open water dives, 1 snorkle dive and 4 scuba dives on 2 different days.

PADI Open Water Diver and Junior Open Water is the first scuba certification level. Our highly-trained Instructors and Divemasters will teach you how to scuba dive in our on-site pool, you can expect relaxed, supportive learning environment. By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive with us locally or in a tropical location.We run the PADI Open Water course EVERY weekend in our in-store tropical pool. We we are conveniently located on Highawy 7 and Leslie in Richmond Hill.


If you are feel that you need some extra practice befor an upcoming trip, or a scuba diving course, no worries, we are here to help.


Sign up for a refresher with us and you will get 1.5 hours with a certified instructor to practice any scuba skills you may feel uneasy about.


Refresher / ReActivate is the engaging, efficient way to refresh your scuba skills. Our Instructor / Divemaster will go through topics you know well, as well as dive deeper on topics where your knowledge may have lapsed.

This is an amazing opportunity for you to experience what it is like to breathe underwater and participate in your first introductory scuba course.

Join us every Tuesday at 6:30 for an hour and half tou will never forget.

A good place to start is with mastering your Buoyancy- In the Peak Performance Buoyancy Course you will learn about proper weighting and trim, body position and trim in any position- vertical or horizontal you will see a dramatic extend your dive time.

You can also increase your bottom time, expand your boundaries and dive more places, more often. by taking the Drysuit Course diving with a drysuit seals you off from the water and keeps you comfortable, even in surprisingly cold water.

Scuba 2000 features an on-site tropical dive pool that allows our divers to complete their weekend training all under one roof. Learn to dive without the need to drive to a community centre or anywhere else to complete your training!

Our weekend PADI Open Water Course includes all official PADI materials, all classroom / e-learning materials and pool training with a PADI-certified Instructor and Divemaster. All scuba equipment for use in the pool (mask and snorkel not included), no-charge referral paperwork, dive team membership and DAN insurance for your open water dives.

We all live busy lives and sometimes it can be hard to find open dates in your calendar. But have no fear, because at Scuba 2000 we run our PADI Open Water courses almost every weekend.
