Kirtan has become incredibly popular in the last few decades and it's no surprise. It's a very simple and enjoyable form of meditation that brings peace and upliftment to all those involved. It consists of hearing and chanting transcendental or spiritual sounds accompanied by music. We practice Kirtan at many of our free classes and gatherings. Learn more about Kirtan.

The timeless art of meditation has been practiced by yoga masters since time immemorial to bring about the joyful state of self-realization. In this consciousness a person is free from temporary worries and anxieties.

This simple and enjoyable meditation consists of focusing our minds on ancient transcendental sounds known as mantras which are all pure and all purifying. There are three ways to practice mantra meditation - deep breathing, with beads, and kirtan.

By spending a little time each day meditating a whole new world opens up to us. Gradually we feel more satisfied – not always looking outward for happiness but discovering happiness within. By starting your day with just 15 minutes of meditation your day will be more peaceful and flow more smoothly.

Anyone can practice this meditation – young, old, student, businessman, mother, anyone. It can be done alone or with a group of friends. Come to one of our free classes or meditation evenings and experience for yourself.

Like many of us, Charlotte first discovered Shambhala after being handed a Pema Chodron text. She then received her original instruction and classwork at centres in her home state of Wisconsin, where she taught cooking and gardening to kids and worked for better food in schools and hospitals.

She joined the Toronto Shambhala sangha when she moved to Toronto in 2021 to study Naturopathic Medicine.

I've been going to Good Space for just over a year now and I love it so much!! The studio fosters an incredibly welcoming and friendly environment, and the instructors are all fantastic. Tori's classes always leave me feeling warm and more whole. Each session is a perfect balance of intuitive, rigorous movement and restorative meditation. Renelyn's classes are as fun as they are challenging. I love the music she expertly pairs with each movement. Danea’s classes are comprised of poses that encourage strength and balance between the physical and emotional body. Definitely recommend this studio to yoga and pilates practitioners of all levels!!

Good space was my saving Grace. I moved to Toronto, not knowing many people and looking to join a community. I work from home so it’s hard to meet people outside of my own little bubble and good space brought movement and community into my life again I looked forward to the morning spent moving with Carmen Amanda and Tash. Good Space lives up to its namesake in every way -- from embodying the ethos that yoga and meditation can be accessible to everyone, to the actual studio, which is beautiful, light-filled and full of thoughtful touches. My Move More class was accessible, positive and I got a good sweat out of it. I can't wait to go back!

This space has a pretty magical energy the second you walk in. They offer a great range of classes, from intense flows to restorative stretches - I leave every class buzzing. All of the teachers add their unique flare to each class, I definitely recommend trying out as many as you can to then decide who's class vibes with you best. There is a real sense of family at this yoga studio, I feel as though its a home away from home. As well, I love that they host a bunch of different workshops, expanding accessibility and knowledge of wellness to the community.

Good Space is such a unique space and has a very welcoming environment. Specifically, I have been going to the Kundalini & Pilates Class by Renelyn and I look forward to it every week! The class is a great mix of zen/yoga practices and pilates - you really feel like you get a workout, but leave the class feeling relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend!!
