North York wing Chun Kung Fu Academy located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and has been taught by Sifu Sonny Le (Master). 5th Degree National Certified Master in Chinese Kung Fu Martial Art.

The focus is on developing the students in all aspects of his/her life. Discipline, respect, confidence, determination, attention to detail and a healthy lifestyle are just some of the aspects developed through Kung Fu training.

I have been a student of Sifu Sonny Le for almost 4 years and have been practicing Wing Chun and a variety of Shaolin weaponry. During a few years at the school I have learned several Wing Chun forms, as well as double sticks, staff, nunchucks and a chain forms. The way Sifu Le teaches both Wing Chun and weapons is very practical and efficient and absolutely could be applied to real-life situations. Weather you are interested in bare-hands fighting or weapons, learning forms or sparring, or simply making new friends, while getting in shape both physically and mentally, I’m sure Sifu Le will find an approach to you.

After an attempted carjacking, I found myself wanting to learn how to protect myself better as a petite middle-aged woman. I was intimidated when I researched GTA martial art schools, as I was older and inexperienced (yoga is about as “sporty” as I get lol). But I knew I found the right place when I met Sifu Lee at North York Wing Chun. Sifu Lee is kind, inclusive, funny, patient, non-judgmental, and he really takes the time to help his students understand WHY and HOW wing chun works so well, especially for someone with a smaller build.
