User FAQs

Visitors can expect to experience a working pioneer village that showcases heritage houses, culture, and a small area of farm with animals. It is a typical representation of pioneer villages established in south central Ontario between the 1790s and the 1860s.

The village will open for pre-booked school and group tours on January 16. Visitors can plan to return for Family Day weekend to experience the village in winter.

On First Saturdays, visitors can participate in a workshop called Through Their Eyes – Pinch Pot with Mohawk Melungeon artist Rhonda Lucy. This event offers a unique opportunity to learn and create pottery in a historical setting.
