Visitors can explore collections, discover special exhibitions, get hands-on with clay, attend drop-in clay classes for families, and enjoy a fresh seasonal menu in a bright, airy space inspired by the Museum's ceramics focus.
The museum brings together people of all ages and backgrounds through the shared values of creativity, wonder, and community that clay and ceramic traditions inspire.
Artist Zachari Logan's site-specific installation explores weeds, wildflowers, and ditches as avatars of queer male embodiment. The exhibition also explores themes of sustenance, ancestral and embodied memory, as well as plant life stories in regions across Africa and the Black diaspora.
The museum strives to make its building, collections, exhibitions, and programs accessible to all individuals, including people with disabilities. Visitors can view the Customer Service Accessibility Policy for more information.
Visitors can find one-of-a-kind ceramics, jewellery, glass, textiles, and more, handmade by local artists. The permanent collection includes objects such as a plate with a scene from the story of Metabus and Camilla, a covered jar from Montreal, a dog-form effigy vessel from Colima, and a 'Bianhu' flask from Jingdezhen, China.
